I am very much the feral. Bear being the nastyest as far as armor and damage. Like Darq, I have been feral ever since I have been playing this game. Although Dasz isnt my first character, I consider him my main. In all tecnicallities Cardrina, my rogue, is my first character. I am working hard to level her to get out to outlands to get the gear. I have learned alot with Dasz, and carrying that over to other characters is invaluable.
Yeah I am an uncarebear alright. But I do kitty when it is called fer. Mostly when I am doing soloable quests. The speed that kitty attacks at and the bleed effects that it can poor on is great. Although cat dosnt get as many stun effects as a rouge does, they can kill the baddies just as fast.
If you are wondering what abilities that a feral druid should have here they are in order:
1. Stamina: the amount of health that you need if you are tanking is very important. If you can stay alive longer than they can you will win the fight.
2. Agility: OMG you need this so much. Not only does it help with dodging blows, you get cool things like armor bonuses. This reduces the damage you take by a percentage. Not sure what the ratio may be but it can be crazy.
3. Strength: This is adding damage bonus, if you are a kitty, well this adds to your dps (Damage Per Second). The higher that is the more you can dish out. If you are a feral and are tanking. You need this. Bear is the slowest of the fighting forms. But they can take alot. Their DPS is omg slow. But once you have alot of the nifty talens you will see that the damage they deal is omg crazy.
4. Spirit: This is really good to have high also. This helps with gaining your health back some what quickly. Every little bit helps. I may not have much to say spirit. But dont get me wrong, if you are out of food, liquid, or mana, you sitting down and resting is a way to regain health.
5. Intelligence: mostly for mana and the regaining of such. I htink that there is bonuses fer spell damage but I'm not sure. Fer all things mana Ask Darq about it. She is more schooled on that part of druids.
As far as gear goes. You want something that has expertise. This reduces the chances that your opponent has to dodge your blows. Also try to find feral weapons. These give bonuses to attack power while in bear, cat and moonkinforms. Check out my armory to see a feral weapon. It isnt the greatest fer my level but it is good fer now.
OKay I think that is it. I may have missed somethings but then I think that Darq can fill in the spaces. She a smart druid. If anybody has any questions let me know. I will do my best to answer them.
Dasz
